Josephat Tshuma

Non-Executive Board Chairman

Josephat is a Partner at Webb, Low & Barry, Inc. Ben Baron & Partners has practiced with Messrs. Webb, Low & Barry, Inc. Ben Baron & Partners for his entire professional career. From 1985 to 1989 he practiced as a Professional Assistant and from 1989 to date as a Partner. He has been member of the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights for several years and was the chairperson of that organisation from 2006 to 2008. He was awarded the Human Rights Lawyer of the Year Award in 2003. He held the following roles with Law Society of Zimbabwe;
  • Member of Law Society of Zimbabwe 1985 to 2013
  • Councilor of Law Society of Zimbabwe 1998 to 2013
  • Deputy President of Law Society of Zimbabwe 2007 to 2008
  • President of Law Society of Zimbabwe 2009 to 2010

As a Councillor he served on the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee and Human Rights Committee. As the President of the Law Society of Zimbabwe he assisted in conciliation between the Judiciary and the Zimbabwean legal practitioners by creating a forum where Judges and Senior Legal Practitioners could meet and discuss challenges to the justice delivery system in Zimbabwe and provide solutions to the same. The initiative was welcomed by both parties resulting in the Judicial Colloquium becoming an annual event. He directed a Research and Drafting Committee for the Zimbabwean Constitution, which Committee’s draft became the legal profession’s contribution to the new Zimbabwean Constitution. He was seconded to be a technical advisor on the drafting of the new Zimbabwe Constitution which was published on the 24th day of May, 2013. He was appointed to the Judicial Services Commission of Zimbabwe in the year 2014 and continue to serve on that body. He also serves as, a board member of a number of trust schools, charitable organisations and companies.

Luke Shankland

Non-Executive Director

Luke Shankland manages strategy and business development in sub-Saharan Africa for high-growth mobile technology and financial inclusion firms. Luke has 10+ years’ experience consulting with and managing projects for companies and NGOs in the logistics, finance and healthcare sectors in Africa and has extensive experience helping financial institutions design and implement innovative and inclusive lending products (including in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria). Luke has managed large teams in fast-moving and challenging contexts and loves to bring new and innovative solutions to emerging markets. Luke has a B.A in Philosophy and Mathematics from McGill University; and an International MBA from the York University with specializations in finance and strategy.

Shelton Sibanda

Non-Executive Director

Shelton is the Chief Investment Officer of Imara Asset Management Zimbabwe (Pvt) Limited, the largest independently (non-bank or insurance affiliated) owned Asset Management firm in the country with a primary focus towards management of investment portfolios for institutional Pension Funds, Corporates and High Net Worth individuals.

He is a seasoned investment executive with more than 10 years’ experience in the financial markets, specialising in Portfolio Management, Macro-Research, Financial Analysis and Equities Trading. In addition to having a number of finance related qualifications, Shelton is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification having earned the right to use the designation in 2016.

Furthermore, he is also a member of the Institute of Bankers South Africa (IOBSA), a leading specialized body for Financial Services Professionals. He is currently the Deputy Chair of the Association of Investments Managers of Zimbabwe (AIMZ), an executive body representing the interests of all registered Asset Management companies in the country.

Early in his career, Shelton worked on the sell-side earning his broking licence with Imara Edwards Securities. He remains a member (albeit a non-practicing one) of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. In addition to participation in a number of volunteer and advocacy programs, Shelton also serves as a non-executive board member of an entity in the motoring industry.

Tjeludo Ndlovu

Non-Executive Director

Tjeludo is a qualified Chartered Accountant by profession. After 9 years at Ernst & Young, she left to join Edgars Stores Limited as Group Financial Accountant and Company Secretary in November 2012, a position she held up to June 2016. She was then promoted to head the Jet Chain and subsequently moved to head the Edgars Chain in 2018. In July 2020, Tjeludo was promoted to the position of Group Chief Executive Officer a position she currently hold, overseeing the overall business functions of the Edgars Stores Limited.

Pathiso Ncube

Managing Director

A former investment banker with ZB Financial Holdings, Pathiso joined Edgars Stores Limited in August 2015 as a Financial Services Manager. Prior to joining ZB Financial Holdings, she was a Lecturer in the Department of Finance at the National University of Science and Technology. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Finance and Masters in Finance and Investments from the National University of Science and Technology. As Managing Director, Pathiso is the leader of the MFI and reports directly to the Board of Directors. Her job is to provide leadership and to bring about the expansion of the Microfinance business. She is responsible for developing strategies that will achieve expansion and ensuring efficient execution of those strategic objectives. Before her current appointment she was the Operations Manager of Club Plus (Pvt) Limited.
